The Field of Acceptance is not as far away as we often think it is. By acceptance, I’m referring to the full bodied, full cellular yummy goodness of peace and harmony we can feel in our bodies, minds, and hearts.
I’ve come a long way from experiencing years of trauma to experiencing peaceful harmony within my body, mind, and heart. It is possible. For longer and longer periods of time. Being in harmony with the soul.
A couple of days ago when I was laying in the love field in the morning with my beloved Alan, a practice we do each morning, a new experience arose.
I heard the words: Field of Acceptance. As I rested and relaxed into this field, all of the cells in my body were embraced in acceptance. I felt great peace within my body, mind, and heart. I was the field and the field was me.
Durga, the Goddess of Empowered Acceptance and Archangel Michael were present. Guiding me to feel the fullness of accepting myself in the moment.
Strangely enough, Valentine’s Day was the day I met my former husband twenty-four years ago. Many of you have heard stories about my extreme challenges with the abuse that occurred in that marriage so I don’t need to explain it further. You can read My Story for more information.
The beauty of coming through the other side of the darkness of self pity is seeing the truth of who I am. And the truth of what occurred in my past as extreme opportunities of growth. As I’ve moved beyond the victimization of the experience toward empowerment, my body has been recovering.
And now, I’m blessed to be in an incredibly loving and supportive relationship with my beloved Alan McAllister. All because of my spiritual commitment and diligence to catalyze transformation of patterns held in my body, mind, heart, and soul. To truly accept my spiritual path as a path of catalyzing transformation.
Valentine’s Day holds new meaning for me now.
Releasing Trauma by Relaxing
The following is a powerful practice to help release those old traumatic stories from the body.
Tension held in the body is often connected to cellular memories of past stories. Where we feel contracted is often where the stories are being held and/or where the patterns of these stories continue to be triggered.
Our most significant places of contraction in the body are where we can experience the greatest freedom.
When asking the contracted part what it needs, be open to a specific color, energy, even an image or words. If the words come first, then apply a color and energy to them.
RELAXING into a stretch is not new, yet it is SUPER EFFECTIVE. By relaxing into the stretch with the breath and the energy it needs, your telling your body and your mind: All is Well. I am safe. I am supported, and I desire to release the tension.
By RELAXING you are opening up into expansion. Expansion within your body and also in your mind, heart, and soul. Because expansion has a way of seeping into all parts of Being.
I did this the other day with my inner thighs. I hadn't known I was even avoiding this stretch! My mind had convinced me I was doing all I could. Then I did a particular stretch using the rolling bolster while relaxing into it, and WHAM! My legs were shaking and releasing a very old story of trauma.
May each of you experience the Field of Acceptance for who you are in your life. I invite you to call on Durga and Michael to help you experience this place within yourself.
For when we fully accept ourselves, our past actions and our present situations, then we will be given the next best steps forward.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Blessings & Love,
